So Tired

This week has been crazy with all the unpacking!!! I have the entire downstairs done minus maybe 3 boxes and our room is box free as well. I started on Cassidys room today and the girls' rooms shouldn't take me that long. Trying to organize everything is driving me nuts though, my OCD is really kicking in with that, lol. However, today my Aunt Mickie is coming to visit so that will be really nice to sit with her a while and tomorrow I am going to go see my maumaw and papa and mom and my mom is taking me shopping and out to eat for my birthday. I think it will be nice to get out of the house and not look at boxes all the time :)

Unpacking

We officially moved into our house almost a week ago and absolutely love it. We are half a mile from the San Onofre oceanfront and have plenty of space. The entire downstairs is almost unpacked and now I need to start on the upstairs. We have had major issues with the moving company, 15 boxes are missing, 6 items of furniture and numerous things are broken. I knew something was up with the movers in Illinois, I wish I would have trusted my gut instinct to better protect our things. Some of the boxes that are missing say personal pictures on the inventory list so I am hoping they somehow find those boxes, the rest of the stuff can be replaced once they send us out the check. It is disheartening that we don't have all of our things and don't know where they are but it is still so fun to see our new house coming together. We love it here and never want to move!!!!

We're Here

We have made it to California and are in our hotel. The hotel is ok, I feel so dirty though, I want to get bleach and wipe down this whole place!!!!! We go to housing tomorrow and hopefully will have a place soon. We get to see my mom on Friday so I am excited for that, I just want our lives to be back to normal. Living in a house of our own with our own things doing our own thing. But, all in all I am so excited to be back in my home state!!!!

Evansville, Indiana

Oh this trip is going to be the death of me!!!! The moving company the Navy sent us is horrible, we have had so many issues with them and the move isn't even half over!!! However, we are officially out of the house in Great Lakes, the move-out went good. I miss the house but the company who owned it was horrid so I am glad to be out of there. Tonight we are in Evansville, Indiana. We got here later than we had planned but we also got a late start and hit traffic on the way. The hotel is really nice and the girls are going nuts running around. The dvd players we got have definitely helped with the car ride, they have plenty of movies to choose from. And I have been ok for the most part. My back is killing me and Hayley has been up in my ribs a lot so they are pretty sore. Getting out of the car feels so good but I feel like a beached whale!!! Tomorrow is another day on the road and we will end up at our hotel we have reserved in Mississippi.

Glucose Testing

I hate getting my glucose tested!!!!! The first time I did it (and got violently sick from), the test came back elevated so I had to do the 3 hour test today. And because I had to schedule it so close to us moving and needed an appointment asap, I had to drive 45 minutes to a different clinic rather than go to the one 10 minutes away. The test was horrid, I felt so sick after drinking that orange drink and I was poked 4 times, twice in each arm. Lets hope the test comes back normal, but seriously, if it doesn't, the pregnancy is almost over so I don't see it being an issue. This is one or might even be the past blog I post for a little while. The packers come out on Monday so we wont have internet access until we are in the hotels. I will keep it updated when I can though.

The Cars Are Ready

We took the Pilot in today and got the hitch installed so we can officially tow the CRV back to California!!! One step closer!!! Now hopefully u-haul has the tow bar we need, I guess we find out the day before we are scheduled to pick it up....I guess 2 weeks wasn't enough notice for them to get one at their store. We also picked up some shoes for the girls today. Kendall got some flip flops and some shoes that are similar to crocs. She only has tennis shoes and boots but being in a warmer climate she is going to new flip flops and I figured the croc like shoes would be good for the beach or when we go to Sea World. Cassidy got a new pair of tennis shoes and some flip flops as well. This week just needs to hurry up so we can get going!!!!

Cassidy Got An award

Today we all went to the school assembly because Cassidy was getting a 'fairness' award. She was so excited when they called her name to come up in front of everyone and held her award and ribbon all perfectly in front of her with the biggest smile on her face. It was so fun to see her up there. After they had a "tea party" for the award recipients in the cafeteria. It wasn't really a tea party, they each got a plate of cookies, pretzels and popcorn and a juice pouch. Kendall of course liked that part the best, she loves "corns", lol. Today was also my last MOPS morning, I hate saying goodbyes. I really love my MOPS group!!!!!

No Puppies For Us

Today Minnie got the works done. She was spayed, had her final vaccinations and was micro-chipped. I dropped her off around 9 after I took Cass to school and she wasn't ready to be picked up until 6 tonight!!! We have pain meds and other meds to give to her for the next couple of days but I feel so bad. She is walking around so slow and just wants to snuggle, it is cute because she never snuggles, she is normally too hyper but I feel so bad for her, I know she is in pain. We take her back next Tuesday to get the stitches out. Wills command is being awesome and letting him have next Monday and Tuesday off without taking personal leave so that he can be home to help with the movers being here. I cant believe it is next week already, eeeek.

Pre-Inspection?

I have been working my butt off trying to get the house ready for today's pre-inspection. I have gone through every room and took the things off the wall, painted and cleaned. We have packed a rubbermaid with things we are taking in the car and last night both Will and I busted our butts off trying to get the kitchen and living room painted and in move-out order. So, I was pretty excited for the lady to come today to see how good the house looks and to say we have had the best pre-inspection she has ever seen. She didn't walk past our front door!!!! She came in with her folder of papers looking all professional and stuff but when she got in the door, she stayed right there. She said "wow, your house looks really nice and clean" That was it. She didn't go look at the kitchen or go upstairs, nothing. I was just disappointed we had done so much for this and she didn't even bother to look around. I don't understand what the point of today's inspection was then. I guess the good thing is that there is nothing else I have to do to the house to get ready for the move except laundry and maybe one closet downstairs but that wont take long at all.
